“Palace label” VIP suite... A photo shoot eden at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat.

One of the best features of this early-1900s palace is its location at the tip of the peninsula in the midst of a 5.6-hectare (14-acre) garden of semitropical trees and manicured lawns. It has been the retreat of the international elite since 1908 and occupies the same celestial status as La Réserve and the Métropole in Beaulieu.

Parts of the exterior have open loggias and big arched windows; you can also enjoy the views from the elaborately flowering terrace over the sea. Luxuriously contemporary with Art Deco touches the rooms are generally spacious and open to sea views and a new spa with outdoor pavilions opens onto the hotel gardens. The hotel was nominated in 2011 for the elite 'palace' label; so far it's the only hotel in Southern France to receive this distinction under the new hotel categorization, which distinguishes the most prestigious French hotels from their five-star competitors.

Thus the perfect venue for a photo shoot of Lilou’s “Water jewels”. The VIP suite where Lilou entertained their film crew and guests opened up to a large loggia with a private swimming pool surrounded by boulders for privacy and a view to a vast tropical garden. The event was arranged by Caballus Director, Vittorio Gai and the Direction of the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat.
